Description
A multi-purpose stadium in Limassol, Cyprus, serves as a venue for football and athletics competitions. It is the home arena of the football club of the second Cypriot division Krasava. Previously, the stadium was the home ground for the AEL top division clubs, Apollon and Aris before their move to the Alfamega Stadium. The stadium also occasionally hosts the home matches of the Cyprus national football team, especially often in the 1990s. It is named after the Cypriot philanthropist Petros Tsirion, who financed its construction. In 1992, the stadium hosted the matches of the European Junior Football Championship. It is also sometimes used for the final matches of the Cyprus Football Cup.
